Corona

We're having to stay at home, and the restrictions are biting into our everyday lives in ever more imposing ways. Our job is to keep positive. We can all help each other by keeping in contact. Make a call, write an email, offer to do shopping, but above all, keep praying. I know God is speaking to us in new ways, because the situation demands it. we all have a part to play, no matter what our age and infirmity.

Be Still

Psalm 46 -

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (v1)

A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the most high. (v4)

Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world. (v10)

These verses are more than just words, this psalm is more than poetry; it's designed to lift our faith. It reminds us that God really is in charge, and that our concerns that feel so overwhelming are really tiny when viewed in terms of the spacious love of God.

Pray that God will give us a sense of perspective. Yes, this is a worldwide pandemic, but He is still in control! We must learn to live our lives as if this really is the truth.

God is still on the throne!
